    1. Afraid im not sure Prebble. The constitution say you cant vote but not if you can or cant nominate. will get back to you on that!

      4.2 All members with the exception of the Returning Officer, associate members and honorary members who are not eligible for voting shall be entitled to vote in all elections.

      So say the constitution.

      How was spain?

      1. But then technically that doesn’t mean the returning officer and associate members cannot vote, it’s just says normal members are always entitled to vote.. Where is the constitution anyway? I can’t find it 🙁

        1. No it doesn’t (read this carefully);

          “4.2 All members with the exception of the Returning Officer, associate members and honorary members who are not eligible for voting shall be entitled to vote in all elections.”

          Says pretty clearly that the RO and all associate members in the club are not entitled to vote in both the EGM and AGM. Only Queen’s student members are permitted to vote as this is a student club.

          The returning officer can’t vote or run for a position because that would open up to scrutiny of the voting. Associates can’t vote because it’s a student club. We tried to change the latter two years ago, but got shot down by the rules of the Union.
