Right. So this is coming up. Who’s running for what? Do we have the open access spreadsheet thingy like we’ve had in previous years to see who needs seconded etc?

Jeez, nominations only came in on Friday! Will sort out a spreadsheet this afternoon.

AGM is on the 26th March, which is over 2 weeks away!

    Chill

Don’t want to. Open and transparent discussion should be encouraged!

Trying to get people talking about it. Nominations close 8 days beforehand anyway, so there’s only a week really to get organised.

I always assumed they didn’t close… Can’t you nominate yourself on the night anyway?

Nope, unless there are no nominations:

How the feck do you quote things in this without getting a load of html code?

See section 4.3 of the constitution, specifically

No candidate may be proposed or seconded at the A.G.M. for any position on the committee if a valid written nomination, as set out in the constitution, for such position has been received by the Club Secretary. </span>

    and

Candidates for the elected committee must be proposed and seconded, and nomination papers signed by the proposer and seconder must be lodged with the Club Secretary not later than eight days before the A.G.M.

If RON wins, there needs to be an EGM.

Fair enough. Never actually read the whole thing. I did like how incredibly vague the Development Officer’s job is, though.
