I know it’s early for the club to think about the Alps trip at this time of the year, but since it didn’t happen last year then it’s probably a good thing if anybody interested in going to the Alps this summer starts thinking about it. I would really like to go somewhere around here (because Italy is prettier than France):

Would you want to go early or late in the session Cecilia?

I was more for the Gressoney area (Lys/Gressoney valley) or the Alagna area (Sesia Valley), try and have a look, there’s loads of 4000mt peaks with routes of different grades (Punta Gnifetti, Punta Dufour, Piramide Vincent, Castor and Pollux, Lyskamm, etc.) and both towns are smaller and less touristy than Cervinia..

Sounds good – is it easy to get to? And is it easy to get to Cervinia if one wanted to attempt the Liongrat on Cervino itself?

Cervinia, is a horrible place to base yourselves unless all you want to do is the Matterhorn….

Need to check connections with airports and possibility of renting a car (prices etc.), they’re definitely not as well connected as Cham but if the car option is cheap it might be handy..

I’d be happy being around Monte Rosa if Kora and I aren’t gonna do Mont Blanc. I’d love to go back and do Castor too.
