Some of you may have noticed the wall has become as stale as the sweat in your climbing shoes, so, my first act as development officer is to try and remedy this. I would like to have the wall reset by the end of next week, ideally. Anyone with the time/inclination let me know here and we can try and organise something.
I have started us off by setting a yellow route (6b+ ish) and a red route (6b ish) on panel 10, where the old blues and reds used to be, since they’d been up since the boulder comp… (I was aiming for 6a for the reds, but the PEC was closing, and it came out much more interesting than I’d planned.) I also have plans for routes on 3 and 7 with the green holds, before anyone steals them.
Also, if there are any routes that are collectively wanted left up, post it here. At the minute, the reds out of the cave will be left, since they are still being regularly climbed, and the greys out of the cave as well, since I set them fairly recently.May 1, 2014 at 23:53 #1926
Woot woot for my reds xD.
I’ll pop down and set a new route or two in my free time after Tuesday.May 2, 2014 at 08:01 #1929
I’d love to set a route as well! Only free in the evenings though, or this weekend.May 2, 2014 at 12:06 #1935
If there’s plans for this evening or the weekend I’m in 🙂 will be needing some sort of thesis break and would like to set something.May 9, 2014 at 00:03 #1997
So, the whole ‘resetting’ thing didn’t really happen… However, tomorrow, I shall be down to rectify this at least a little bit. Anyone for helping? (Otherwise the wall will be very boring if I reset everything…)May 9, 2014 at 15:28 #2015
By tomorrow, do you mean today (Friday)? What time are you down?May 9, 2014 at 16:32 #2017
I did. Do. Whatever. It was only a wee bit after midnight…
Ummm… Anyway… I had no specific time planned.May 9, 2014 at 18:24 #2018
Down now if you’re free.May 9, 2014 at 22:41 #2019
Stripped the oranges and greens on panel 9, but only had time to rest the oranges. 5+/6a.
